Does anyone know which way round the copper washer for the coolant drain plug on the engine block goes? As per usual, the Haynes manual doesn't specify. I can provide a pic if need be. Thanks

I've used the blue (not the pink) stuff from Halfrauds, which says on small print on the label that it's suitable for ally engines. I hope they're right because my 200Tdi had done 140,000 miles and it would be a shame to ruin it at this stage!

I've got three drips coming from the LT77 box, which I'm about to give to a local mechanic to try and repair. Will keep you updated.

Leave the dissolved Calgon in the system or flush it out, do you reckon?

Regarding the calgon tablet: would you recommend I add it whilst flushing, or add it after everything is connected up and sealed? Not being a calgon expert I'm worried that leaving a tablet in there might be detrimental to the system over time?
