No ... cheap diagnostic units out there ? .. have they guy coming today , but would still be useful to be able to check the faults myself ? is there not anything about ??? Cheers . .

Hi guys .. I have a defender 110 td5 1998 was out today , and the ABS and TC lights have come on , I hope that they'd go off but no such luck .. I plugged in to the what diagnostic machines I have and none of them will read it .. , spoke to a guy its going to cost me £35 to see what's up ...

Hi guys , just after a little help and advice .. I bought a yellow britpart diff guard , the round one .. I had to prise it open to get it over the diff , but on doing so am no longer able to fit the bolts , it looks so tight and that it’s never going to fit .. What I thought was going to...

So a little update .. I got the defender back , tho im a little cross , the garage said there was some to pay about £300 , said that there was a lot of work done , and there is a cap on the warrantee , I told him that it has been this way since I bought it and the other guy there had fobbed...

ok , will just stick with the standard one .. :)

i thought as I was doing the steering rods , might as well do the panhard too .. I dont have a press , so fitting original bushes is gonna be a pain ... ?

I couldn't find one , they all seemed to be adjustable .. :(

Hi all.. im just about to finally order my shocks and bits, as I get the defender bk tomorrow , I was thinking of fitting a new panhard rod to match the HD steering rods .. the ones I have seen are adjustable HD type ... Now fitting an adjustable rod in position of the original is it just...

Ok ... its been three weeks ... and tomorrow Im off to collect my 110 ... :) I was told the head was checked and all was ok , but they have done a lot of work , should find out tomorrow ... hopefully it will all be good now for another 100k ...

Well.... it been nearly two weeks , and I hadn't heard anything about the head gasket or when im likely to get the landy bk ... I called them this morning but the guy dealing with it isn't in the office , they said he will call me bk ... Im wondering if the head needed testing , or...

yeah , I think I touched lucky ...

I thought this might have been the case .. well , hopefully once its done it will last me a while .. :)

the Landy went back in to the garage this week , as I was loosing water and oil .. I suspected it was the head gasket , they called today and confirmed it was , they are going to do it under warrantee .. Once I get her back , I will order up my new shocks :) and a few other bits to get her...

Just an update , garage called , and they have confirmed it’s the start of head gasket going .. they have agreed to do the work under warranty.. I’m very pleased it’s getting sorted .. Think the oil leak and water leak was all part of the same problem..

Cheers, yeah we have taken precautions, it’s such a shame that they are a high target .. but I really love it

I had a pretty good look , tho didn’t check the back of the head with a mirror, tbh I’d had expected to see something.. Will have to wait and see what they say , they seem like a pretty good garage and reasonable .. I will post there findings , they are meant to be calling me mid week ..
