adjustable panhard rods ..

Hi all..

im just about to finally order my shocks and bits, as I get the defender bk tomorrow , I was thinking of fitting a new panhard rod to match the HD steering rods .. the ones I have seen are adjustable HD type ...

Now fitting an adjustable rod in position of the original is it just be a matter of setting the length the same as the original and refitting .. ? I shouldn't have to make further adjustments ?

anyone done this , I would think its a simple job without any set up .. ? ... lol..

Then can't you find a standard HD panhard rod instead of having to faff about to set it to the correct length? I suppose setting it shouldn't be too difficult.

I couldn't find one , they all seemed to be adjustable ..

I doubt you need an HD one if you don't need an adjustable one.

Quite. Ive thrown my 110 around fair bit. Panhards all good

i thought as I was doing the steering rods , might as well do the panhard too .. I dont have a press , so fitting original bushes is gonna be a pain ... ?

Yes, a massive pain. If you're not going to use polybushes, take it to somewhere that has a press.

Seen most steering items bend/break over the years but never a Panhard rod.

ok , will just stick with the standard one ..
