Hi ppl I need to replace a rotting core plug on the side of the engine but can't remember if you need to glue it in place I did one a few years back on the front same time as I did the P gasket as it had rotted it out but can't remember if I used a glue or thread lock to secure it in place...

Well sounds like I have a bad case of condensation most likely due to blocked breathers as its very grey in colour.. ill change it out and keep an eye on it. I have a drum of axle oil so it's not too much of an issue.. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing any serious damage which it sounds...

Is this bad.. I only rebuild the hubs last year.. all new parts used. Obviously the contamination/ mixing, goes both ways and axle oil ends up in the hub as well ..

Maybe a couple of oil changes close together will help to purge any water / condensation then.. it was very manky when I first changed it. Nothing too bad then... Maybe getting the breathers working properly will help.as well..
