    stuck sump plug

I've sheared and rounded off more bolts with my breaker bar than I've ever broken with my impact gun and it takes off wheel nuts torqued to 500nm.

    17 yr old td5 insurance

Adrian Flux were the dearest quote I got for my range rover. £600 dearer than Aviva. I pay £120 a month for a V8 P38 and i'm 21 with no ncb

    choices choices petrol or disseasel

I've got a 4.0 and do about 60 miles a week in it, don't really drive it economically. I use about £30 a week on fuel. According to the computer I average about 10.8 mpg. That's just shorts runs. 6 miles to work and 6 miles back 4 days a week and some running about.

    Sudden vibration whilst braking

It could be warped discs or uneven build up of pad deposits on the discs. Take it for a thrash and burn the brakes up a bit, see if that makes a difference. If not take the wheel off and check if its warped. Normally you should avoid hard braking for a few hundred miles after fitting new...

    bull bar yes or no!

My bull bars and side steps didn't make one bit of difference to my premium, I was even told that when I fit my spot lights I wouldn't need to tell them but it would be good to do so because then they are covered if they get stolen.

    bull bar yes or no!

If you decide not to fit them let me know. I've got the half size ones but have been looking for the ones that go around the headlights for a while now. I like them, it adds a bit of menace to the front end

Aviva were the cheapest I could get and that covers my side steps, bull bars, tow bar and spot lights too.

    Never fails to amaze

Some people must just be under the impression that because it's on ebay its automatically cheaper. I often see people paying stupid money for broken snap on stuff. Sometimes more than the tool actually costs from the rep.

    Part Stealers

Land rover prices are a **** take, I was quoted over £600 for pads and discs all round for an 96 P38 and that was just the parts.

what do you make of this?

Not to keen on it but it would probably turn a few heads. Bet it sounds pretty good

    Locking Wheel nut removal tool

I've used normal sockets chapped on with a hammer to remove locking wheel keys before.

    What oil grade

I use 10/40 in my 4.0, Valvoline semi and change it every 4000 miles. You can get triple qx 10/40 5 litres for 12.90 on Ebay at the moment

    rear wheel bearing

It will pull out but may take some gentle persuasion

    P38 running boards question

Mine are fitted to the chassis so there wouldn't be any holes if I took them off. With regard to you lights guards, when I removed mine I just put the small screw back into the threaded rivet, it looked better than just a hole and kept water and other **** out.

    Oh sh*t

It would be far cheaper to make them yourself, flaring tools can be gotten pretty cheap or you could get the pipe and ends then ask a local garage very nicely to flare the ends for you.

    Should I Jet wash (Undersealed)?

Considering a karcher would struggle to clean my dinner plates it wouldn't do any harm.

p38 range rover failed mot on emissions

Change the plugs and the air filter then give it a try

    Shudder when braking

Warped discs but it takes a lot of heat to actually warp a disc although I've seen discs warped just a few weeks after being replaced. You can check with a dti or brake rollers. It could also be worn suspension parts or bushes. Is the pedal pulsating?
