It is simple braid covered rubber hose - there are connectors on top of each injector to link it all to a hose at the end (left hand side) where unused diesel goes back into the system. It's a 10 min job - easy to do. I think the hose is 6mm but cannot remember now - I changed all mine a couple...
Ah sorry just read again - you say diesel - looks like he has either left off or split a fuel return pipe off the top of an injector - take the cover off - if will be obvious I reckon.
Engine tuned spot on and on a 300 mike trip on Motorway and A Roads using light throttle and sticking to speed limits I got 40 mpg yay life is good! TD4 2003 with 106,000 miles
I changed the stop light bulb and at the same time sprayed all contacts with contact cleaner - all lights have worked since so fingers crossed it was simply a connection thing somewhere.
I don't believe there is a standard - as long as what you have stops the tank falling down its acceptable - you could cover it with an alloy shield - MOT testers are not allowed to remove anything to see behind - what they cannot see they cannot fail!
Reading a response jogged a memory - I seem to remember putting the belt on and getting the routing wrong - it wouldn't fit - have a good look to see if you have got it wrong.
Yay my 2003 TD4 flew through MOT today with no advisories.
It's got 109,000 miles on it as well.
What sort if emissions readings are people getting - mine was 0.4 and believe it could be up to 3.0 and still pass.
Interestingly a rear brake light bulb had blown so I replaced that but cannot think that it immediately cured the reversing light!
I seem to think the cold weather may have affected the reversing light because since a good motorway run and some standstill reverse selection to shake it about...
Hi all
2003 TD4
My reversing lights are not working - checked fuses - see ok but can't be sure I am checking the right one - the guide on the fuse box is not easy to work out - I think it is fuse 21 but check lots if others.
It happened give other day as well but they came back after I...
