    HD Torque converter?

The rear crankshaft seal has begun to leak on my 2001 D2 td5 auto, I'm considering fitting an Ashcroft heavy duty converter when i have the box out. Have many people done this? is it worthwhile, and, will it help with the revvyness of the standard box? Thanks Gordy
