Cheers, i was hoping to have exact place to weld the new brackets as the 300tdi is my daily driver and wanting to get the chassis prepared for the transplant. Plus im getting the chassis galvanised so dont want to have to take my 300tdi out to line it up to put it back into my daily car lol

a rebuild? yes im doing one. might have been my post i started over a year ago so far lifted body off, and started to strip engine. then more kids etc came hoping to get into it this summer. but now going with 300tdi rather than the v8 sadly

Do you really have to remove the steering tie bars to gain space to remove or can the chassis be jacked up to give clearance? going to try and weld it

Ha ha apparently there is only one bath in the uk that would be big enough but the guy said some of the body metay may warp with heat. Plus remove doors etc for the aluminium bits. Nice idea though

All true just km starting a rebuild and looking to hit the problem areas. Love the galvy dip idea im getting the chassis dipped and thinking what else I can get done. I even asked if tbey could dip the bottom half of the disco but the bath is not wide enough worth a try.

Agree NO q plate as its the same chassis. It was just done in LRO mag but the bit I diddnt understand was on the LRO one it said it took loads of electrical work to tell teh TD5 ecu that there was an engine running as the 300tdi only has a stop solinoid and glow plugs - why not scrap all the td5...

Im not fussed for the back 3rd row just the rear seats. I need a full belt rather than a lap belt for a kids seat as I will now have 3 kids seats in the rear.
