    Which Chassis???

RRC / Disco1 seem teh obvious choices as there are plently of rotted Discos about for pence. Have seen Chassis for less than £50. That way I could do all the chassis mods and source other parts needed prior to breaking my Disco. I know I need new outriggers fuel tank supports etc welded...

    Which Chassis???

I really enjoy my Disco as a toy but would love a Series Landy, but would like to create something with a modern flavour. The first call would be to get a coil sprung chassis modified to take series body work. It would have to be a SWB but what is the best starting point? RR / Disco 1...

    Bonnet Number Plates

With the std bumper removed from mine an a tubular winch bumper fitted, there is no vertical surface at the front to mount a number plate. It has been fitted to the bonnet, an its not that readable from the front if I'm honest. Bin through the MoT no probs, sin loads of plod with no probs...

    Boost controller...

I have a boost gauge (and only the gauge) for my disco but not fitted it yet. I work in an aerospace facility and have the ability to get the gauge calibrated. The bloody thing is miles off, both on pressure and vacuum sides. It reads low on both sides of the zero, so the gauge span is totally...

    Dead Disco

sounds like you have a fooked front axle component somewhere. Could be diff, cv joint or halfshaft failure that would allow power to be sent via front propshaft to nothing. If you engage diff lock, does it move then? Don't try diving anywhere without first finding out whats fooked but at least...

Hmmm, dont think its supposed to do that!!!!

Think its more to do with dodgy driving than dodgy manufacturing, that an total lack of maintenance, loads of abuse and when it breaks I know what to fix mentality. Still in this case I got away with it, an the loose idler pully was like that before I released the tensioner :eek...

Hmmm, dont think its supposed to do that!!!!

Well, the Disco has bin a bit rattly lately so though I'd better take a look. First clue - took wading plug out of timing case and !/2 pint dirty water came out :doh: Thought it might be worth taking the case off to find this S6001002.flv video by Dorset-Vogue - Photobucket Might...

    Leather interior

Picked mine up from late classic vogue, grey leather, electric (not yet wired up) very comfy, better than disco seats anyway for £50

    Leather interior

I fitted RRC grey leather to mine. rear seats are a direct replacement but I had to make some plates up fo rthe front seats. If you have a later Disco1 I believe they will go straight in with no mods.
