Have done this and nothing , seems to be going straight down to earth . Striped motor and presence of water in case and windings burnt. Got £300(ish) to spend can anyone recommend a new one ? Looking at super winch tiger shark or winchmax .

Ok , that's £35 and seems easy enough .what about motor. Anyone you'd recommend can't seem to find them for less then £180 ( is that about right ).

Hi all , I have a X9 winch on my 110 and currently only goes one way. Checked terminals checked solenoids put 12volt straight on to turminal and a big fat nothing . So guessing it's the motor , is it worth repairing or replacing . As always your superior knowledge is welcome .

After a lot of head scratching found the problem was with my hidden kill switch not making properly . :doh::doh::

Hmmmm... Guys , went out to land rover this morning to investigate starting problem. Had socket set ready to replace glow plugs new fuel filter new lift pump. But thought i would try and start it first and would you believe it . STARTED FIRST TIME ???? Any ideas ?

It's just initial start through the day it's fine and starts on first turn of key . I checked glow plug resistance as per the Haynes Bible.

Hi all , I have recently purchased a 110 CSW 1993 Been good as gold but with the dropping temperature last 2 weeks has been reluctant to start cranks over fine just does not fire up till 15th or so attempt New battery fitted Checked relay on pre heat Check voltage on glow plugs...

Also forgot to mention has new parabolic springs and shocks on rear for more comfortable ride . ( well better for a series )

As long it's mechanically sound . Not that fussy but been looking and can't seem to find any goodish ones it's either they have totally rebuilt and way out of my budget or require far to much work.
