    Seat height adjustment

That's what I suspected. Welding shouldn't be an issue. I work for an engineering firm with skilled welders so that's a possibility. Think I'l find a weekend to take it out and have a think about it. Cheers guys.

    Seat height adjustment

Might be a silly question, but does anyone know of a way to lower the passenger seat? (And before you ask, no it hasn't got height adjustable seats!) Problem is the son in law is 6 foot 6 and has to slouch down to avoid smacking his head off the roof. Is there a adjustment that can be made?

    Electric window fault

Is it bolted on ? Like a 'pinch' clamp?

    Electric window fault

The bit you're pointing to appears to be still attached to the glass. Or at least there is a sticky down lumpy bit that the block of wood is currently pushing up against! I'm guessing that's what it is...

    "Pincers"...?

    Electric window fault

Opened up my right/rear door to investigate the non working window. I'm thinking, snapped cable, faulty motor, seized mech. Nope ....none of that....because none of that was there! It's all gone! So, anyone got a door cable and motor set for 2004 , rear right door? :)

Freelander 1 Rear end wobbling like a fat bird on a pogo stick?

I completely understand the attraction of getting a garage to do the work. The fun of seized nuts, rounded bolts , skinned knuckles, freezing fingers.... has kind of worn off over the years. I find the list of jobs that I really can't be arsed doing these days is getting longer and longer! Once...

    Freelander 1 1.8 fuel filter???

Well took the valve off and it was solid with carbon. Flushed it both directions with cleaner and used a little brush to scrub inside it. Once the black **** stopped coming out it was 'loose' inside. Popped it back on and it idles like a new motor! Thanks for the tip guys.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Got the idle air valve off and cleaned it. Made loads of difference. Was stuck then when cleaned it , it's got some "play" in it now. Should have seen the crap that came out!

    Good thinking! Thanks for that.

    Central locking

I assume replacing it just the usual , nuts bolts, swearing, dropped bits inside door, swear again, blood, nuts bolts and done?
  20. Flying Scotsman!

    Central locking

Hello, quick question... Driver's door will not open on the fob. All the other doors unlock OK (on second press) But it WILL LOCK on the fob! Opens on the key no bother. Is this probably just a solenoid problem or something more sinister (i.e complicated!) Cheers
