  • Hi Rick, It appears that you are the main Guru regarding P38 BeCM units.
Mine started playing up after a little water was spilled on it via the drivers seat. If it has caused more damaged than just needing a dry out and a reset , what is your turnaround time on the units ?
    Regards, Chris
    HI Rick,
I've seen from the threads in here that you are the one who may be able to advise in bcem issues.
Therefore I'm wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
I have a 95 p38 diesel with the following error messages:
fuse 6, 7 and 17 have called ans gearbox fault.
On measuring across the fuses there is no power!
So I've flicked through the rave manual and have cone to the conclusion that either relay 10 or one of the mosfets is not switching.
Personally, I think relay 10 Needs replacing.
However I would like to know if you have had any experience with this issue I.e which component to replace or if it's worth just replacing the power board?
Also, where us best to go to fir parts? Do you sell parts?

Thanks in advance fot any advice you may have
Sorry if I have double tapped yopu with this message

P38, Showing a warning that fuser 2 (heated seats) is blown, thou on inspection fuse is ok. this fuse also covers the rear right window , which works fine.
any idears how to clear message, have tried differnt fuse
Hi rick, I don't know if you've seen my thread but basically apart from being at my wits end! I have a 2002 l322 and I have lost all audio , sat nav and tv also I have no message centre, parking sensors do not engage and have no ticking sound from my indicators although they flash. I have an all coms which shows a l bus fault on the instrument panel. Have you heard of this happening? And if so any input you could give me would be greatly appreciated . I can find no evidence of corrosion to the wiring or connectors in the rear quater although the nav unit had a tiny amount of damp on it. Is it possible to remove each module , ie nav, amp , tuner , head unit in turn to try to clear the fault or will the removal of say the nav unit result in a fault code anyway ? I hope you don't mind me pm ing you but you seem to be the man. Thanks for reading , hope you can help and merry Xmas :) Paul

    Hi Rick ,
Can I ask you a question please,
I just bought Range Rover td6 Vogue
The gears have started to flutter (vibrate)
Land Rover dealer changed the oil in the torc converter, They said it will be a couple of days if it improves, otherwise it needs to be changed, does this sound right to you , I have 1 month left on the warranty from the garage I bought it off, Should I get them to replace the whole thing?

    regards

    Paudie,

    Thanks
hi there both datatek and zzr have told me to pm you as i have a suspect becm lockout problem on my 97 4.0 se p38,
    please please please help
    Rick,
I was told to contact you by "J the range" as he thought you might be able to help?
I've got a '95 4.0SE P38 manual which I love but has been sat for nearly 2 months due to the new arrival of an Audi A8.
When I went to start it the battery was flat but after re-charging it has come up with various messages, the most pertinent of which seems to be "Engine Imobilised".
I've tried the EKA code repeatedly which worked fine when I replaced the key-fob battery, but no luck at all this time.
I'm based in Kent, near Rochester and would be gratefull for any help as my wife has now said my little rangie has to go. (Something about 3 cars on the driveway being too much!!)

MAny Thanks in advanced, John. (079666 16205)
