Wheel wobble!!

Hi Guy's, Took the Freelander to motosave this afternoon for the front wheels balancing, as i have a wobble round-about 30/35 mph. Jacked the drivers side up, and the wheel had alot of play in it!! Bloke said it may be a ball joint or similar, too cold today to look underneath, but does it sound like an easy job??? Cheers
