Meyle heavy duty ARB links fitted today
How’s your ‘ignore’ thread going?Separated prop shaft from vcu after a lot of effort. Splines were seized solid. Ended up cutting a pry bar in half and using it as a large chisel, belting it with a sledgehammer. Tortuous. There has to be an easier way.
My oil cooler failed, filled the coolant with engine oil. That definitely floated on the coolant though. Maybe give it another flush?Had a check of the drivers side strut mounts and main nut to see if they are the source of the annoying knock I have still present. all were tight as can be so I'm definitely suspecting the top mount/bearing.
I also discovered some contamination in the coolant. I had a problem with some contamination a while ago and had the system thouroughly flushed and pressure tested etc but nothing was found. The cooland looks a bit dark which concerns me everso slightly but the contamination is sitting in the bottom of the header and there is no oil present. Something else to investigate and add to the list!
The oil cooler went on mine a few years ago too. I don't think it's one of the coolers though as it really doesn't appear like there is any oil in the coolant. My slight worry is combustion stuff obviously. There is a dark residue in the bottom of the header and the coolant is definitely a bit on the dark side.My oil cooler failed, filled the coolant with engine oil. Strips of 2" masking tape pull most of the dog hair out of the seats and carpetCleaning the old lass out to go on holiday
I am sorry for no pictures but what a messI suppose 3 dogs
But can anyone explain how 2mm of dog hair got under the Land Rover fitted full boot liner
Bought a roll of plastic carpet protector that’s going on in the morning!
Bloody dogs
I find these types of silicone dog brushes work well at removing a lot of the dog hairs from carpet/fabric…Strips of 2" masking tape pull most of the dog hair out of the seats and carpet
Just done mine and yes there were some under the boot liner in the wheel well![]()
I wouldn’t go as high as 40.FL2 235 / 65 / 17 tyres
I'm finding 32 psi suggested but they are flexing a bit more than I'd like
Thinking of putting 40 psi in for the road trip
Thoughts anyone ??
I'll drop them to 35 , not towing anything but lots of luggage, mostly bloody shoesI wouldn’t go as high as 40.
They’ll be some give - it’s pretty much a 2 tonne car.
The females in my family seem to like to take a hold luggage sized bag/case each with us when we're going away for just a couple of nights. What with my toolbox and junk in the boot I struggle to fit their stuff in each time. I myself always travel light! I feel your painlots of luggage, mostly bloody shoes![]()

I used to run my fronts at 33 and the rears at 34. I'd not go more than that though, as it had a tendency to understeer when I tried 35 on the front.FL2 235 / 65 / 17 tyres
