My first thought when I saw that was actually how to get a cheap rotary coupler for you (with a load of spares to make up the expense)You must be hankering for another P38 by now?

P38 2.5 DSE Spares or Repairs
Pretty much as title I've got a '95 2.5 DSE that's been parked up a couple of years after the injector pump decided it no longer wanted to hold diesel on the inside, and would prefer to liberally coat it's anti-rusting properties over the engine bay. It was a fairly mamoth project that I...www.landyzone.co.uk

I had My missus with her foot on the brake, me with my foot pushing the socket on the hub nut, and my 16 stone son on the end of the torque wrench.

It’s still in my mind but it’s an auto and very far away, wouldn’t have an mot and even if I could drag it back here I’ve got nowhere to keep it off-road pending work

I thought the same but I'm seriously out of touch with modern vehicles.Diagnostics for clutch calibration lord help us, whatever next?
Total madness, self adjusting hydraulic clutches do the job without fuss.I thought the same but I'm seriously out of touch with modern vehicles.
Electrical operated/assist clutch pedal maybe.
Don't tell me they haven't got recovery @kermit_rr ?
Putting this in the general part of the forum might bring up suggestions Nev?
A cable for the throttle...similar.Total madness, self adjusting hydraulic clutches do the job without fuss.
Electronic fuel injection has improved fuel consumption on cars so I'm OK with electronic throttle control. Never liked points and condensor, always modified my cars. could still carry the necessary spares in a small box. The rest I agree with.A cable for the throttle...similar.
A slider for heater controls, proper steel bumpers, points and condensor, I could carry nearly everything to fix my car on the road in a tupperware box!
Sound like a dinosaur now!
