Hi all,
I'm the new owner of a 2002 D2 for about 2 weeks now, it's a great machine in good condition for its age. I had been looking at 110 Defenders for some time but they are out of my price range so decided on a Disco. I bought it as a family car since my old L200 isn't practical with 2 kids and I'm not for this PCP malarky I'd rather own something outright. I intend to run it as long as I can, swapping to a galvanized chassis in the future. Looking to sell the L200 next year and get a second Disco for off road fun.

Work done includes air suspension removed and Terrafirma 2" lift, new clutch, head and manifold skimmed, Stage 1 map, decat and fully poly bushed. I need to re-seal the sunroofs again, they are sealed already but it's looking tired, and do the headliner as it's a little saggy in places. In general it's surprisingly good for a 20 year old car.

It has a slight weep on the transfer box somewhere, ordered a new plate and gasket as it looks to be coming from there rather than the driveshaft seals. I heard a clunking from the rear passenger side yesterday only to find the lower damper bolt has gone walkies. Does anyone happen to know the length and thread of this bolt? I've searched here and in manuals to no avail.

I've attached some pictures. Look forward to being a regular and learning as much as I can about the Landy.

Thanks for looking!

That looks ace. Don't forget to get some uprated shocks to deal with the higher center of gravity

Thank you, I hunted high and low for one that didn't have chassis corrosion issues. Previous owner took care of that thankfully, I'd like to offroad it but I feel like it's too nice to ruin like that, I'll get a tatty one to have fun in I think.
