90 owner

I am the proud owner of a 'new to me' 1985 90 and my first ever LR. Wanted one for decades and can now proudly park it (hidden) next to my house.
Now begins the long list of excuses for the wife as to why I 'need', bits for it.

Have a quick question though, the bonnet has a key to unlock it...this a factory fit or something someone has had done?

Early ones had a key.

Get some security on it, hiding it doesn't really count.
Atleast a Disklok and proper pedal lock.

No idea about the lock although have heard of some having them fitted.

I have a steering lock, that is the big round one that I use when I park my classic car somewhere iffy. So that will live on it, but will also invest in a pedal lock.

Aha, yes, that's the one. Quite useful I feel. I would put a picture up but I'm picking her up on Saturday. Just browsing around and finding things to learn.

Fair enough, be funny if it was the actual one.

Got her today. 110m journey and only 1 small issue considering it's been honking it down all day. Was cruising at 55 on motorway and thought I'd try cruising faster, got to 65 and she died. Assume a fuel starving issue like pump or float chamber, considering flat out is 70 on these I'm not surprised. ... Stuck to 55 from then on, no issue. Already have a list of things to do and buy.
Fitted under my up and over door with mm's spare.

Dog approves.

He's lovely, Landy looks shiny too but nice from what we can see. I see you used the AC flaps on your way home

For you speed issue ask in the proper section and tell us the engine there's loads of help.

Keep it safe, get it dirty(on top) dont worry about a few dents and enjoy it

Yes, the flaps were great at demisting, unlike the super powerful asthematic mouse blower for the heater.

That looks very tidy, someone's spent some money on it.
