Series 3 Have I messed up....?

Hi all, working on a re-chassis of a Series 3, and moved the engine and gearbox across last weekend. I've just found a "spare" piece sat on top of the old cross member, pictures below. I can't see it on a parts diagram, but I may be being blind. Any views on what it is and where it goes? I'm hoping I don't have to lift the engine out again, but would rather do it now than later.

It's just the bracket that holds the flywheel housing wading plug. You'll be fine

As Nathan said, you don't need that. Just throw it in your tool box.

If that is what it is where should it be bolted?

Fit it on one of the lower Bell Housing Bolts.
