Range Rover Classic - Wiper motor

Hello,

First newbie Question - does the Disco 1 wiper motor fit a RRC? The part numbers differ (as does the price) the RR one appears to be STC495 whereas the Discovery is AMR3869M - not sure if this is just manufacturer differences or not. From what I can see they look very similar and I know both models shared a lot of hardware.Hoping I can fit a cheaper, more readily available Discovery one.

My car is an '87 V8 Efi Auto.

Sorry, should've stated that - Front

They do vary a bit, I tried to fit one from a 300tdi into my 89 but the plug was different as was the linkage (mine was seized) ended up getting whole linkage and motor off ebay used

I need to check the relay first I suppose, had a quick search for it today - am I right in thinking it's behind the under-dash panel on the drivers side? Spent the morning swapping the old sealed beam headlights for halogen ones and rewiring the hash job starter button....

Get yourself some Wipac Crystal units and fit Osram Nightbreaker bulbs. If you want better than that fit a Boomslang harness.

Strange that you had the sealed beam headlamps, as my 1987 RR was fitted with lamps with replaceable halogen bulbs,
I eventually replaced the RR lamps for the Cibie units with each lamp having two halogen bulbs, designed so the dip was illuminated along with the high beam, I had the experience of the twin halogen bulb head lamps on a car I had years before the RR , they were then from the french company Marchal.
