OK people here a problem for you all my RR p38 2.5td 2000 came up with transmission neutral on the dash board yesterday I couldn't get any gears spoke to someone and said it comes up when fuse is in under the driver seat NO11 I checked fuse box and fues was in I've never had to tow it before so no reason to go in to fueses
so took fues out put back in and failt was cleared gear box back to normal
should fues be out or in on that model thanks for your help people

Out.you should regularly shift from high to low so the shift motor gets used and doesn't seize.
 
You sure it was switching between high and low and not stuck in high?
it was switching fine last night it showed all the signs on the dash it was going from low to high range and it drive home fine changed gears fine as normal even moved it in low range then stopped and changed it back in to high and drove home
 
It doesn't have to be there,only needs inserting if being towed.put it in one of the spare positions, one day you will need it.;)
thanks for that mate that was the answer I've been looking for all day as to weather it should be left in or taken out and put in spare holder didn't want to take it out and it made the gear box think it being towed
