Phone button not working

Good day

I have a Freelander 2, 2008 SE TD4. I tried to pair my phone, but it seems that the phone button dont work. Any idees please.

Have you got Bluetooth?

It seems like the 2008 models dont have bluetooth

The Bluetooth module is optional, or standard, depending on spec, so it might not be fitted if it's not a spec that got it as standard.

Theoretically if it has the buttons on the steering wheel, then it should have the BT module, however that's not always the case, as someone could have retrofitted the wheel buttons in an attempt to make BT work. You can remove the LH boot trim and see if the BT module is installed, near the amplifier module. If it's not there, then someone has retrofitted the buttons.

There are switches on the stearing wheel. Only the one near the radio

If there's no green or red steering wheel buttons, then there's no Bluetooth phone module installed. It is theoretically possible to retrofit BT, but it depends on how badly you need it, as to whether it's worth doing.

No urgent need.
