hi guys

so i bought a discovery 2 and i have noticed it is sitting a lot higher at the front than the back but only since i jacked it up to swap the wheels?

will it settle down? also i removed the bar that goes across the front axle as it was rotted through but its been sitting high since before that was removed

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
"Removed the bar that goes across the front axle"?
Do you mean the Panhard rod?
Big question although I suspect the answer is obvious, do you have air or spring suspension at the rear?
But seriously, the front end sounds more dangerous at the mo.

I am going to make a wild guess that this is the rotted out tube you removed?

Maybe it is actually sitting lower at the rear?
Air suspension model?

its not being driven like that mate im waiting on the part first its obviously there for a reason!

nah it failed its mot because the bar in one of the replys above was rotted out completely, surprisingly the mot tester said if i take it home remove it and take it back hell pass it

so i ordered the new bit the old one was past saving and it passed its mot

its springs all around

definately high at the front 100% the bar was just removed for the mot im waiting on a new one, from what ive read people put spacers on these bars to lift the suspension so its probably because the bar isnt on?

The bar is nothing, it is just a steering protector, and is not the cause of your car sitting funny.

Have you a pic of how it is sitting?

What spec is the car S/GS/XS/ES?

Where did you jack the car to change the tyres/wheels?

it came with those horrible wheels on it so i changed them for ones similar to these

they where the same size ect and fitted fine, there was a lot of rot under the car so i was carefull where i jacked it up i used arms

as you can see in the picture its sitting level but as soon as i put it down afte taking the bar off and changing the wheels the front is way higher

and it has springs all round, its not really been driven am i correct in saying it will settle after being driven for a while?

I asked spec as was wondering if still on air? then I read your comment on coils
I wonder if the coils are the right ones for the car?

Pic of mine from a long time ago, does look slightly higher at the front?

Mine also sits slightly higher at the front (air springs on the rear) since I changed front springs to new and also shocks to Bilsteins. But both the front and rear within spec.
