I’ve just fitted TD5 doors to my 1985 defender and they have central locking actuators fitted to them. So as to enable me to have power locks, what would I need to add to them? I’m not bothered about remote locking and all I can find on the net and through the forum archive is info regarding the 10as unit.

The drivers actuator is a 4 wire and the passenger is a 2 wire. I’ve already got the electric windows connected and working. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.

Really you need a control unit to work them. This is done via the 10as unit on Td5s with a built in relay.

You could try and use a box off a cheap set like Hawk circa £20 off ebay. Just connect up the wires correctly. Should work.

The drivers door tends to have so e extra wires to signal back - this allows for example you to unlock the drivers door with the key and have it unlock the others doors. I have a hawk kit off eBay and that's how it works there
