Hi guys, I am hoping that one of you knowledgable people can help me please.
I have a Freelander2 2007 HSE model. The rear light on the passenger side won’t work. This is the combination bulb of brake light and rear light. However the brake light does work!
I have checked and changed for a new bulb but no joy. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate where to look next.
Thanks for your help in advance

Hello Artic2, thanks for your thoughts. The connections are all fine however. There is an electrical fault of some kind with the power supply to the bulb despite the brake light filament of the same bulb working.
I just don’t know where to look next

You need to put a meter on it to check the wiring. Test resistance from the bulb pin to the fuse. Then trace back in the wiring to see when yer do/don't have a connection. Test yer method on the working side then compare to the faulty side. Yer can do it by measuring volts with a volt meter anorl. Just need to keep er foot on the brake pedal while yer round the back of the car measuring. ;)

Hi Hippo, thanks for your thoughts. I do have a meter and will apply the logic you suggest and see if I can find the difference you suggest
