Tempted..

Are they worth buying?

Instead of 4 Dunlops?

H
I've had Gen II's on mine for getting on for 10 years and they still look like new, however there seems to be some badly crimped ones about at the moment, something that has happened before, so might be risky at the moment.
Grrrrr and someone else have had problems.

My Arrnots have been on for over 11 years still going strong, at the time they were a bit more money but not like they are now.

I always wanted to get some Gen 3’s. They are designed so they are softer when extended and harder when lowered. The opposite of the stock setup. But they are horrendous money. I did contact Arnott and a number of resellers to see if they would be interested in supporting a group buy. Not a single one got back to me :(

tbh I went to and indi, and he asked me if I wanted a harder ride, and I told him I did, and he changed the settings for me, but someone here told me you cant do that, but I am sure he did, and then I put the Arnot bags on much later, so it could be that

Only the Gen 3’s work this way. The Gen 2’s work in the same way as the stock air spring. Which is a harder/higher spring rate at higher ride heights. Hence very bumpy and bouncy when off road. And soft when in the motorway ride which makes it more wallowy.

There is no way of programming the stock setup to work differently as it is a physical design change of the Gen 3’s that allow this.

Same here. There was no appetite for selling direct.

My gen 2 springs have a thinner wall than the Dunlops but looks tougher rubber. Apparently the gen 3 is thicker and gives a harder ride but is aimed at the serious off-roader where articulation and durability are key.
