Luna split charge intelligent relay system, had it for a few years. Something’s gone wrong and I’m not sure if it’s the relay or the controller.

The controller only detects charge on the main battery not the aux battery and the relay has no lights on. The alternator will charge the main battery but doesn’t flick over to the aux.

I’m assuming there’s a problem with the relay?

What does the relay look like? Is it the coke can sized 200A solenoid similar to the T-Max splitcharge or is it different? I was under the impression that the NL Splitty was the same as the T-Max just under a new brand?

My T-Max one died and wiped out both the starter and aux battery hence my move over to dual alternators. http://projectrusty1992.blogspot.com/2018/06/fitting-gwyn-lewis-dual-alternator-on.html

You could try an aftermarket solenoid and see if it fires up, sounds like the solenoid isn't switching.

I'm assuming it's similar? Basically an expensive timer relay

So what was the problem in the end?

Intelligence can be a mixed blessing in a charging system.
