Damn that's nice! Lovely finish to it, let's see how it holds up to the elements haha

How did you spray it on? Just directly over the old paint once keyed up?

The stuff sticks like **** hahaha keyed it down a bit and slapped it on with a compressor and gun. Did three coats on the cab and the cage had two coats, used 8litters or raptor paint :)

Ah nice! Not bad then, would need a fair amount more for mine if I ever were to do it. I'd probably do the chassis and everything as well lol

Lights are on! Iv gone for magnetic trailer light that are mounted to plates on the cage. Only reason for this is to stop me smashing light eveytime I go out haha. Lights are powered by a 7pin socket on the rear of the cab

Bit of a update on the disco!!! Iv had a few problems with the engine lately! After getting it up and running I was having a few issues at high revs, it would splutter. I noticed a slight fuel leak on the injector pump! Not good!!
Managed to get hold of another pump and swapped them over! Cracked it over and it started ****ing out with fuel!! Just my luck haha

Time for the third pump! By this time I was getting faster at striping it down haha, pump was fitted and did not leak :) got the truck started but was soon having problems:( next job was to take the head off and get tested! Found out to have a cracked head !

Just waiting on new head to be skimmed and it will be back up and running :)

Meanwhile Iv ticked a few more jobs off the list, footwells are welded and painted with bed liner paint. I have also fitted some bonnet latches.

see those rubber bonnet latches i had them on my 2a and after a year they split in half if stretched a little and are rubbish and i installed a second set and after that ditched them altogether and cleaned up my bonnet striker pin and latch. if you can try to get higher quality rubber as the cheapo Asian made ones just are bad well only the rubber not the zinc parts.
if you like them try to use ones that are metal like on military vehicles or early land cruisers.

Tony.

How did you get those headlights to fit mate? Was there a bracket that you can buy so they fit in the circular hole or do they just fit straight in? Absolutely love those want them in mine or something similar

They fit into the defender headlight bowls pal, bought them off eBay for about £12. So easy to install and look awesome :)

Saving room by replacing washer bottle with this washer bag, also makes room for when I fit the snorkel pipe work.
Can't go wrong for £14 of eBay, just need to tidy the wires up.
