While reversing had the lights come on but no errors, cleared the non existant codes, clear on restart.

Had this for a while last year so bought a spare ECU.

So how difficult is it to swap the SLABS ECU?

I have a spare ready to go on.

I have Bearmach Hawkeye.

To swap it is easy, unplug the old one and plug the new one in :D.... making it work well can be complicated but i'll tell you how , just tell me
1. do you have SLS?
2. what version of hawkeye you have?

then it shouldn't be trouble cos v.6(or above) can calibrate height sensors just that you'll have to use two jacks instead of calibration blocks to support the body at the desired height

Sorry for the thread hijack! I have a Hawkeye with V5 software. The table on Bearmach's site shows the V7 features (nothing new for D2 TD5). Is it worth me getting an upgrade -I don't know what v6 encompassed (my D2 is on coils at the back, height sensors removed)?

V.6(or above) has extra features for SLS and ACE so if you dont have these v.5 is good enough... though the higher the version is the more reliable the software is too so being free you could upgrade it without remorse

if it's on a very plain and even surface you can jack it up from the towbar too... hawkeye requests the calibration blocks when you want to calibrate then it releases the air as the rear to sit on the calibration blocks and stores automatically the heights when you prompt yes so both rear sides must be at the same level if you see what i mean

Yes I do so jack and measure time

My replacement ECU is the same model, but is there different firmware for different applications?

I have CDL

i dont understand what are you asking here, there are two types, the early modells which will bring up the ABS and TC warnings with locked central diff and the latest ones which will not... the rest is programmable

That's all I needed to know thanks
