hi guys landy has been working fine till this morning it refuses to start.doesnt even have the crank sound when i crank the key. quite a cold day today so i was thinking either its the weather or the engine.any ideas?and i noticed theres a cold start light.what does it do?

Cold start light indicates choke on a petrol. Glow plugs on a diesel (changing brightness if it's glow plugs in series.

If it makes no sound at all then battery seems logical place to start.

Agreed, test the battery. A quick test if you don't have a battery checker or multimeter is to put the headlamps on and turn on the wipers, if they're slow and the lights are yellow and dim - it's low. If they wont work at all it's flat.

if the battery seems fine, you can test the stater motor and the solenoid by connecting jump leads direct from the battery, there's quite a lot online about how to do this systematically.

Good luck

:)

the connection terminal to the battery was loose.worked fine after tightening!anyway how do i warm the plugs?crank and let the cold start light be up?

You turn ign key to position 1 puts the oil and charge lights on you then turn against the spring to position 2 puts on glow plug light (yellow) wait about 20 secs and then go to position 3 which activates the starter motor engine then cranks over and starts , if it does not start repeat position 2 and then 3 HTSH
