TD4 EGR Blank

Hi all, finally got round to upgrading from my old S reg L series deisel to an 02 plate TD4 and i was wondering, would an EGR blanking kit from a disco TD5 fit the TD4 engine? as my old man has his blanking kit left over from when he had his TD5,

Don't know, but have a look at pics of Td4 ones on ebay, say, and compare and contrast!

If you do end up buying one, don't get a cheap one. Mine is the Allisport one and it is very good quality. No chance of it warping from the heat as it's made from nice thick metal.

Or just clean it & plug the vacuum hose to disable it ?

Seeing as how you already have your Dad's left over one, the logical thing to do is take off your own EGR and check that the TD5 one fits.

I think it will - but if it doesn't, you just give the original a good clean-up and re-fit it without the vacuum pipe.

The simplest fix is stick a golf-tee up the braid vacuum pipe and use a cable-tie to secure it somewhere out of the way.

thats all i did... works just the same....

cheers all i think ill go with the cleaning and plugging option, ive seen from pictures that they look the same so ill compare once i get my one off and go from there!

TD5 Blank doesn't fit, cleaned and blocked ready to run on clean air
