renewable fuels in the 19j

hi there, been reading around, im currently running my 19j on straight bio diesel, which i produce my self, just been reading the injector pumps on these dont like veg ? has any one had any problems ? then has any one used atf/ UMO ? and finally is there any other injector pumps which will fit on ? eg bosch ?

This is the best website I came across when I looked at this a few years ago. Bit dated but still seems to apply. Straight vegetable oil as diesel fuel: Journey to Forever

The german firm Elsbett are still going but their website is a little limited. I reckon it'd cost about £700 for a conversion kit, signed sealed and delivered. Let me know how you get on.

Are you running straight Veg or Biodiesel?

I have been running "processed" Veg (Biodiesel) B90, B50, B10 for about a year. No issues due to the fuel - I just needed to change out the filter on the bulkhead.

No direct experience with straight veg or WVO (Waste Veg Oil) - have heard that you MAY need larger injectors. The MB 5cyls are fine with it, but other engines can be a PITA.

hiya i put bio in my 19j b4 i put a 200 in a few month ago...my 19j didnt like it at all !! after a week i had problems with lift pump injector pipes splitting..i am running it on my 200 and all seems fine so far

yeah iv got 200 now, 200 will run neat cooking oil let alone bio
