petrol to diesel linkage help please

I'm new to this so please exciuse my numptyness

having bought a project series landy its got a 2.25 diesel in but the throttle link on the bulkhead is all wrong as i'm told it was originally petrol the inlet manifold has a baal to connect to and it looks like the diesel pump needs a rod link any ideas or help :doh:

Now see, when i went from diesel to petrol, i had the opposite problem... i THINK i've got the old diesel linkages kicking around in the workshop.... post a pic of your current setup fella
