Well I'm not too sure how cheap this is compared to some of you guys but I'm now £762 TPFT on my 1974 series 3 V8 109 Hi-cap.

I'm 19 going 20 so thats not too bad seeing as my Disco is £1280 FC and thats on a multi car quote with Admiral, without that they were wanting £4000

Can't wait to get this beast welded back up so I can drive it around

try adrian flux or footman james
i'm 18 and looking to buy my first car/land rover series (need a bit more money!)
also, i'm pretty sure your non standard engine doesn't really help your premium

also you say 1974 series 2a? surely that would make your series a 3 instead of 2a, because 2a stopped in 1971.

Sorry yes you're right its a very early 3 my mistake

That was my quote from Adrian Flux, using my pass plus, 1 year NCB and owners club membership discounts

This is a modified 109 with a stage 1 V8 twin carb and stage 1 front

depends on insurer if engine mod makes a difference - putting a 200tdi in mine meant Lancaster wouldn't touch me anymore and cancelled my insurance, but, Footman James would insure me for £100 all in, fully comp, green laning, break down, etc. As i was paying just over £200 with Lancaster the engine mod in-directly saved me £100 !

I tried to get it done with Admiral but they wouldnt touch it due to the mod so next year I think I might go for a multicar policy with Adrian Flux to bring it down further, then I'll also have 2 years NCB on my disco and 1 on my 109

Footman James gave me a good deal. I am 40 though. You could try them.

I was paying £180 pa for third party with CIS.

Now paying £100 pa fully comp on S3 LWB hard top. It is limited milage at 3000 miles per year.
