yes i had the fronts off the floor and there is no ruff bearing noises i need to check the rears as well but i am sure its not bearing related as that would be more off a humming noise would it not?

Hi thank you for your input no weather conditions dose not appear to play any part in the m and s coming on, and yes the red light in the gear lever dose flash togeather with the lights in the dash? The landrover has been very well looked after so I am hoping its not the loom,

Hi Chaps I am having problems with my landrover 2002 td5 2.5td auto
The problem is when I switch the engine off and let's say I leave it in drive or any gear apart from park, what happens is if I turn the engine back on I get the M and S in green flashing and the gearbox feels like it stays in...

No I did not do that, I have now brought a sensor new atf fluid and a filter, I am going to do it again on the weekend ?

hi guys after I have replaced the oil transmission switch and new oil and filter, if the light still comes on what possible things am I looking at after that? Does anybody no? And has anybody had the same problem ?? Cheers

Yes as a flush as the original oil that came out was a dark brown colour, so I thought draining it again will be better as to try and flush out the old oil

Ok thank you so I maybe 2 litres short then, I will drain it again and start again, I can't do it till next weekend now so hopefully it will be ok to run around for the week.

No I changed what came out witch was about 2 1/2 litres, I undone the drain plug on the bottom and waited till it stopped and then refilled it by the other plug on the side entill it started to dribble out, I brought a 5 litre bottle and used half of the bottle

i changed all the oil will this matter ?
