I’ve got genuine Land Rover on mine they fit the seats well and keep out anything you chuck at them take them off now and again give them a wash and put them back on they’re really good

Do you have to turn the ignition on after pulling the fuse or have to wait any length of time before putting it back thanks in advance

Have a look at the rubber surround of the prop shaft bearings mine has a vibration albeit more on turning but it appears the prop bearing carrier is done for packed the gap out to test and no more vibration

Quick update can’t get any bearings till next year so I cut an old air con belt up and packed it around the rubber and inside the metal casing tried it just up the road couple of tight turns and it appears the noise has gone so when I can get some I will fit new bearings until then it will stay...

Not had chance to change bearings yet but friend of mine has mate who is 4x4 specialist and he says ird is shot just wondering any thoughts on this as a recon outlays vehicle value thanks in advance

Hi Andy I did the one wheel up 3 times and all within 6 seconds of one another how would I know if transmission wind up it drives perfect apart from this heavy vibration on a lock the rubber parts of bearings look delaminated vcu turns smoothly when doing the test

Thanks nodge managed to have a quick look underneath in between the rain all I’ve seen so far is the vcu bearing rubbers are shot allowing up down and side ways movement of the prop will check what you suggest when I get a min break up from work soon and it looks like I’ll have plenty of time to...

Hi folks I have a vibration from under car on a tight turn immediately thought viscous but it times at between 19-24 seconds just wondering if anyone got any ideas thanks in advance

Bought one for mine about four years a go it wasn’t a genuine one but it was brand new cost about £90

There’s another thread on here with similar complaint and he’s replaced injectors and it’s still smokey on start up so have a good check before you spend money on injectors as I believe they’re not cheap

I wouldn’t worry about it to much as I said before mine does this and always has if I hold it about 2000-2500 revs it will do it all the time if I’m stationary but normal driving it pulls like a train it tows 1500kg regularly and it doesn’t even notice it . I’ve had it seven years now ,so if...

I have a td4 with roughly 120000 on the clock as well and I always use 5/30 fully synthetic

Mine does exactly the same thing some smoke on start up and slightly lumpy soon clears and runs perfect been the same since I got it nearly 8years ago
