The handle has come off my back door. Where is the best place to get a replacement? I've googled spare parts but I don't know what a handle will be listed under. Model is a 1999 1.8 3 door. Thanks. Sarah

I have the back seats folded forward in mine so the dogs have loads of room. The X-Trail doesn't seem to have very good headroom and one of my dogs is quite tall! I'd like a Mitsubishi Shogun Warrior really but I don't think I'll have enough money. So what about the reliability of the TD4 then?

OK so that's out of the question then. I'm going to get rid of my 1.8 petrol and either get a TD4 or something completely different and Japanese! The TD4 has the BMW engine, yes? So I presume it doesn't suffer from the same problems as the K series engine? Is it worth spending my money on...

What is the engine like on the 2.5 V6? Do they have head gasket problems? Is it a BMW or Rover engine?

Well we were considering a Nissan X-trail. This car will have to last us 5 years before we can afford to change again so I think perhaps we should go Japanese!

No, we're just keeping an eye on the water at the moment. It has a water leak which one garage said was coming from the hg, but someone else said there would be oil in with the coolant if it was a hg failure.

I have a 1.8 petrol (1999) and am looking at possibly another head gasket failure within 7 months of it being replaced, so I'd agree, don't touch the petrol with a barge pole! I don't know if the diesels are any better on head gaskets and everything else? Are they money pits too?

The head gasket had already been replaced in July. I bought the car on 2nd Jan.
