From what I gather the SM hourly rate is the lowest in the area so well worth a try if you have a big project to undertake.

I have used Spanner Monkeys and Durham 4x4 in the last 2-months and I've found them both to be great outfits.
Spanner Monkeys (Pete) does a large quantity of specialist fabrication work and his hourly rate is very reasonable indeed so may be worth a pop.

Hi Guys,
I have just picked up a Defender 90 Utility 2.4TDCi (MY2011) and I was wondering if any of you were using engine oil other than the factory recommended Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 A1 variant (Fully synthetic).
FYI: I change my oil every 6-months while my annual mileage will be circa 6-7K...

Right guys, I visited Pete and the team at Spanner Monkey's today and I have to say that I was impressed by their help. I'll be using them again for other things in the near future. Good prices too (which I'm sure will be of interest to a few of you);)
