Well, my first attempt at side exit eggsauce failed after about two months. This was partly die to the flexi pipe I bought was not very good quality and party because of a very tight bend that over stressed it. Version two is currently in the oven at 250 degrees for about half an hour...

Cheers Kwakerman I've got that corner apart already and will check all connections. But, I think the trailer socket is not getting power to pin 7 because of the fault with the live wire to the rear light. I believe the rear LH light live wire crosses the rear to provide power to the cable...

Hi Oldseadog No trailer socket LH tail light is dead too. I guess this is because its fed from the rear tail light, which is obviously dead. My wiring loom is original, so runs inside the chassis. I'm guessing there must be a break in the wire but god knows where. I would like...

Bugger, seem to have lost power to the near side rear light (red and black). Break light is fine (purple and green). Only found out when testing the trailer socket, which has lost power to the associated 7 pin (Black) (factory wired, just a new socket by me a while ago (pre-last MOT!)...

The Hudl is £119 on Tesco web site. Can someone explain in idiot terms how you can get it for £50? I get the contributing club card points thing (I don't have one though).

I just used what I had. A wood one I think. Didn't have any problem with a thin ally panel.

Still got the centre silencer, so not really noticeably any different to me. Allthough, I do also have a hole the size of a tennis ball the upper portion of the front pipe section:eek:

Just done me side exit eggsauce. Will post pic soon. But, basically just took off back box section and ran flexi pipe from the end of the centre section over top of chassis, out the panel behind the rear wheel. Reused both ends of the rear section on each end of the flexi pipe. Used flexi...

Hmmm. Not sure why your rear lamp would not be working. Have you checked with a circuit tester that you have power? Could just be a dodgy light unit/connection to the bulb. As for the panel light, I had similar MOT failure. Turned out to be a poor connection in the plastic circuit board...
