    Name that noise

Hi All At a bit of a loss, hoping you can help with me new noise. Starts over at 20/30mph, worse when warmed up. Sounds like a wheel bearing running dry. Feels like front end. No difference when coasting out of gear with clutch down or braking. Worse when turning left...

    More Side Exit Eggsauce

Well, my first attempt at side exit eggsauce failed after about two months. This was partly die to the flexi pipe I bought was not very good quality and party because of a very tight bend that over stressed it. Version two is currently in the oven at 250 degrees for about half an hour...

No power to LH tail lamp

Cheers Kwakerman I've got that corner apart already and will check all connections. But, I think the trailer socket is not getting power to pin 7 because of the fault with the live wire to the rear light. I believe the rear LH light live wire crosses the rear to provide power to the cable...

No power to LH tail lamp

Hi Oldseadog No trailer socket LH tail light is dead too. I guess this is because its fed from the rear tail light, which is obviously dead. My wiring loom is original, so runs inside the chassis. I'm guessing there must be a break in the wire but god knows where. I would like...

No power to LH tail lamp

Bugger, seem to have lost power to the near side rear light (red and black). Break light is fine (purple and green). Only found out when testing the trailer socket, which has lost power to the associated 7 pin (Black) (factory wired, just a new socket by me a while ago (pre-last MOT!)...

Tablets for camping, overland travel etc.

The Hudl is £119 on Tesco web site. Can someone explain in idiot terms how you can get it for £50? I get the contributing club card points thing (I don't have one though).

Yep sure will. They'll be all over it. Hopefully in a pragmatic helpful way rather than a witch hunting killjoy way.

    Side Exit

I just used what I had. A wood one I think. Didn't have any problem with a thin ally panel.

    Side Exit

Still got the centre silencer, so not really noticeably any different to me. Allthough, I do also have a hole the size of a tennis ball the upper portion of the front pipe section:eek:

    Side Exit

Just done me side exit eggsauce. Will post pic soon. But, basically just took off back box section and ran flexi pipe from the end of the centre section over top of chassis, out the panel behind the rear wheel. Reused both ends of the rear section on each end of the flexi pipe. Used flexi...

    Advice..... Rear fog lamp...

Hmmm. Not sure why your rear lamp would not be working. Have you checked with a circuit tester that you have power? Could just be a dodgy light unit/connection to the bulb. As for the panel light, I had similar MOT failure. Turned out to be a poor connection in the plastic circuit board...

    Hella Spot Lamp issue

Well, just in case anyone is dying to know how 'm getting on; I believe I have identified the problem. Not enough earth! My earth point, screws on top of front panel reads fine when connected to multi meter (i.e. I get earth), but ain't good enough when the spots are...

    Hella Spot Lamp issue

Hmmm, ok just had quick play with multimeter and appear to have voltage over the bulb when connect to landy. Cant find a current though. However, still measuring voltage over the bulb on spare battery but have about 5.5 amps and it works. Hmmm. Must be a current issue. Why I've got a...

    Hella Spot Lamp issue

No chance. Its a short wire screwed to the radiator bracket/front panel. Or did you mean voltage on the earth of the bulb holder when connected?

    Hella Spot Lamp issue

all seems fine. Doesn't explain why it works fine direct to a spare battery? All I can think of is the relay is tripping out due to 100w bulb, but don't even know if a relay would do this, then work fine when I test the circuit.

    Hella Spot Lamp issue

The vehicle wiring is recent and new. Bulb holder terminals are good. It works fine when I test it on a spare battery. Ive got 13.82 volts at the vehicle wiring. Bulb holder held into lamp with stiff wire clamp. No short circuit or earth created. But even just hanging bulb holder loose...
