So no major developments but, managed to blag a set of decent standard 16 inch wheels with All terrains for not a lot of money. Was pleasantly surprised to find they where 265/70/16 instead of the standard(?) 255/65/16 Looks much better now and even threw some water it's way with the pressure...

So with my Series 3 in airfix kit form, waiting for the day (or even if) I'll get back to it. I decided a daily Land Rover was a good idea...Looking to start towing my Astra Bertone to tracks and stuff in the near future and also living in the sticks, a P38 would be halfway decent at both towing...

So my 1998 P38 2.5 decided to start dripping diesel from the injection pump yesterday, I had a quick look today and it looks like it's coming from the oval shaped cover on the side of the pump facing out. Main question is, is there any special procedure to replace the seal/gasket on this plate...

Didn't get time to work on it during holiday so made up for it this weekend Mucked about with ignition system and new earths for a while before getting the dreaded compression tester out. This confirmed the worst with readings between 100-110 psi on all cylinders...coupled with the oil...

Hey guys, I joined up as I have just got my first Land Rover/project. It's a series 2a/3 2.25 petrol SWB which has been sitting a while and seems straight forward enough to sort out. Anyway hoping to have it sorted out quickly and look forward to browsing the forums :)
