Hi fellas. Just got major fail with emissions on MOT. I have a 2001 P38 4.0 V8 runs on LPG. Just replaced coil pack, ht leads, plugs, changed oil and filters and put on new cats and lambdas. It failed on petrol and was even worse on gas... Petrol 4.90 co level, 182 hoc level which was under. On...

Mine was drinking a load of fuel and could smell fuel strongly, turned out to be the lambda sensors.. If they're not working properly you could have unburnt fuel in the cats..

Do as I did. Go to kwik fit and ask for a re gas. They tested my system and found a fault, traced the fault to a leaking condensor. Said to me sorry can't fill it because of the condensor fault... No charge... Fault finding done!!

Took the old girl for her MOT today and she passed. Wooohooo ( for now ).. Anyway she got a couple of advisories.. 1) front pads getting thin.... No problem! 2) rear nearside Hub seal leaking.... Been looking to order one but a bit confused.. Is this the same as half shaft seal or completely...

Hi guys, does anyone know if the faultmate fcr reads live data as well as reading and clearing fault codes. It will sway my decision on whether to wait for RSW allcomms. Cheers....

Hi fellas. Sorry been doing some 14 hour night shifts so a bit buggered. Thanks Irishrover and Rewmer. I'll get hold of a compression tester and try to do that at some point over the next few days. I take it Irishrover you might be thinking duff valve? Easy check before I start spending for fun...

Yeah I know.. Plugged it in and read the codes... Nothing!! But it definitely misfires on both petrol and gas. So now it's elimination time... Unfortunately!!

Well removed the ECM and it was spotless. Gave it a good clean anyway but no difference. So now I've tried the £3 fix I'll have to move on to the more expensive. Done the plugs and leads, checked the Maf, next stop new coil pack. Is it a real pig to fit, looks like you have to remove the air...

As Datatek says, download or get hold of the rsw software and lead. Clear the faults and unlock EAS. Likely to be a dodgy sensor or compressor. With the software you can manually activate the compressor to see if it's working. If its is it could be the thermal switch which is stopping it kick in...

Sounds like it's out of sync. Get someone near to you with a sync mate.. I'd do it for you but I'm 200 miles away.. Good luck..
