IIRC, the fuel pump solonoid, has a plunger that opens to let the engine run, closes to stop (electric version of the old manual strangle). If you remove the solonoid, and remove the plunger, refit the solonoid, less plunger. It should start, if so the solonoid is faulty, you'll have to stall...
