Thats going to have to be a job for next weekend i think. Daylight has ran out now. Ive tried to get in to a local LR specialist but apparently they dont need to open saturdays and i work away during the week. Ive just been in the fuseboxunder the steering wheel and the dash bar is rusty :eek...
-
Tried a working inertia out the father in laws identical d2 and still the same
-
Pins bridged. Still doing the same
-
Sorry just looked after there are o ly 2 wires in the plug ill get to bridging now:oops:
-
Any ideas what pins to bridge?
-
Appologirs if i sound like i keep repeating myself im just trying to narrow things down
-
Well ive been out in it and now i cant get hazard lights to stop flashing. If i disconnect the battery for a few seconds then re connect they stop. But as soon as i turn the igbition on they start flashing again:mad:
-
Will unpluging the inertia switch prevent it from starting?
-
I can still start and drive while the hazzards are flashing though. So there must be a gremlin in there somewhere. Im thinking more and more that the bcu might be the cause assuming the central lock is controlled from there and inertia switch must come through there to open the central locking...

Just dawned on me, Would that not cut the fuel supply though if faulty?
-
Could do with having a poke around it then maybe. Clean the contacts? Where is it located please @sierrafery
-
If you try to lock/unlock without opening/shutting the door the horn will give a short beep everytime you press the lock/unlock buttons.
-
Thanks @sierrafery could be the best part of £100 saved all in all. Also a new thing its develpoed the past few days, if after a journey you jump out turn it off and leave it unlcoked even for only a couple of minutes, then jump back and turn ignition on tge hazard lights start flashing. No...

And a bcu was £330+vat + fitting+ coding.
