I've told him that myself, as I know it all too well already, but he's certain he wants a higher milage/lower end L322, so wondering if the TD6 will be ok or go for the V8, guess it depends on the history really.

I came from a Tuscan to the L322 and all I can say is don't do it!. The only car that would really tempt me away is a 2004 or so onwards E55 AMG, think their awesome just a bit more pricey though.

A Holland and Holland might have collectable value but in general I don't think the P38 will be an appreciating classic, I can in honestly see them sticking at near current values as the lower end ones haven't really got anywhere else to fall. A good RR Classic has started to hold its money or...
