hi guys my parents just bought a 300 series discovery
Tidy truck no major rot anywhere so happy days
Trying to use diff lock
How do you select it ??? High - low works & selects fine but can't seem to operate diff lock
Any help would be great
Is it likely to be seized on the stick if it...

We live on the Somerset levels right in the middle of flood country so she sees her fair share of water.
In the garage now ready for the mechanic ( he nos her well) in the morning
I'm used to the 3 amigos but the red light was new to me

hi guys
Heading north on M5 today the diff lock light came on on my 2001 td5 discovery
Diff lock obviously not engaged
Anyone else had this ??
Expensive to put right ??
Has the gearbox / transfer box got to come out ???
Any light shed would, I'd be grateful

I removed a very worn out filter & it's made no difference any other ideas ???

Ok great thanks it's weird it's alright for a few days then goes noisey then shuts up etc etc

Hi
The compressor for rear suspension is sometimes noisey
It sounds like the mounts are loose
I've checked the 3 rubber mounts they are fine
A few das it'll be fine then then for a days it'll b noisey
Is ther possibly a relief valve or something that is jammed

Yea it's all solid it is an adjustable height one but there isn't excessive play in it or anything. Do you tow much with yours ???

Again thanks guys for the answers with the trailer empty & the car running so suspension is pumped up
The trailer looks slightly high at the front
I've also tried it on the slightly lower setting with the trailer more or less level
I drove down the m5 today the weather wasn't Gd but still I...

How do you weigh the towbar weight though
Tyre pressures are all right my trailer tyres are 95psi recommended by ifor Williams

I have a 16ft ifor Williams I regularly tow with my 2001 discovery 2 td5
These 2 should be a match made in heaven but I'm not quite happy with it
Even with the trailer empty ( empty the ifor weighs 1000kg) it snakes slightly
Loaded it snakes as well
Doesn't really matter how...
