Hi

The compressor for rear suspension is sometimes noisey

It sounds like the mounts are loose

I've checked the 3 rubber mounts they are fine

A few das it'll be fine then then for a days it'll b noisey

Is ther possibly a relief valve or something that is jammed

Thanks

Nic

I hope you haven't over tightened the rubber mounts. If it's feeding an intermittent leak, that may affect the noise level.

for the beginning remove the LH tail lamp and there's the filter, wash the foam and the felt, let them dry well then before you refit them give a short squirt of WD40 deep into the intake hose...it might cure things for a while

Bugger that, I thought all these air systems were supposed to be oil free?

maybe they are but i've been doing this wd40 and filter cleaning trick with the compressor once a year since i bought the car(8 years ago... i replaced the filter with new then) and the compressor is the original one and still going strong and silent... in the end it's just a pump and a bit of lubrication can't hurt ;)

May not hurt the pump depending on the piston seal material, but may knacker valve blocks and air dryers.

maybe if you fill it but i said short squirt, that will not reach the air dryer whatsoever and i dont see why would it hurt a valve... haven't hurt anything on mine in 8 years... and it's a 15 year old compressor assy
