Hi Chaps, just to let you know that I have not had time to dig about under the D2 but I will report back as soon as I have done so. Something for the Christmas hols in lieu of visiting aged relatives perhaps?

Yep. To be fair to the bod, he seems to be receiving a great deal of grief from his firm which I will not detail and which is dampening his enthusisam for LR products!

I'll be digging into it as soon as I can and will report back. Unfortunately, that's unlikely to be in the next couple of weeks - unless I become tremendously enthusiastic in the evenings - because my weekends are fully booked. However, I am very appreciative of your encouraging words. :-)

I will be delighted to join you in the laughter - but mine will be from relief.

The gear selection codes appear in the LCD until I select D and move away.

Thank you.
Having had several auto RR and now the D2 and hating the 'shunt' between D and R I am always very gentle when engaging D or R (no throttle pressure and pausing between the two).
Hawkeye is reporting no infornation regarding the position codes, i.e. 'zeros' as far as I can remember...

I have Hawkeye, not Nanocom.
Indeed, I was thinking that I need to 'bell' the loom through whilst applying a bit of judicious wiggling. Needless to say, it's hooning down with rain here :-(
I also doubt the diagnosis of FUBAR until I have proved that the 'box ECU is being communicated with...

I haven't but the spanerer - who is very thorough - assured me that they did.

2003 D2 is grounded with flashing M+S lights which appear when I start to pull away in D and gearbox selects 3. Hawkeye reveals P0705 14 as a hard fault. The XYZ switch has been replaced with a tested used switch but the fault persists. My workshop bloke recruited the help of a chum who is an...

Thanks Kevstar. Not worried about the discrete bits (pump, height sensors etc), it's the loom that concerns me. As it happens, I've been told that the pump has been removed :-( I appreciate that until I look at it I am whistling in the wind but I'm concerned that I might have to make...

Looking at a V8i 7 seater D2 that has been converted to coils as a replacement for my 03 TD5 D2 with air suspension. I know many have gone from air to coils but know of none who have reinstated air suspension. Sourcing discrete components is not, as far as I can see, an issue, but would it...

I can send you the Webasto installation manual for the Disco in pdf form. I doubt that it is small enough to attach to this post but I will check when I am at my PC. Regarding the plumbing: there are two hoses that are specific to the Webasto which, effectively, insert it into the primary...

Thank you.
[1] the dynamic readings, i.e. whilst driving, from the ABS sensors are identical. However, I have not observed the reading in a trigger situation.
[2] the replacement hub was genuine and was supplied with the ABS sensor installed.
[3] the symptoms are marginally better since...

Traction Control issue in 2003 auto D2 non-ACE with air springs.
The TC occasionally operates when the NSF wheel encounters a pothole or road hollow and engages the NSF brake with sufficient force to pull the steering to the left. Previously, the TC would operate randomly when 'making progress'...
