    Parts help in Derbyshire

Hi, I am in England for a couple of weeks and staying in Derby, does anyone know of a parts supplier for a IIA 109. Mine needs a few bits and I would if possible like to pick up some of good quality so I don't have to do the job twice, also so I can look at some accessory's for the old girl...

    Ready for Winter.

Just a quick update, after a week of using the engine heater starting is a breeze. I have it on for an hour before I leave and when I get to the yard I plug it in to one of the outlets for the Tractor Trailers. When I get back later in the day it is toasty and warm, cab heater is working well...

    Ready for Winter.

Yup I use it as my daily driver when I can, I prefer to drive older trucks. I have to put up with modern Tractor Trailers when working! Stupid emissions keep messing up the engine management systems in them!!

    Ready for Winter.

Like Thor1950 said we have Winter Grade Diesel here, I also remembered I put in a Winter Thermostat 82 deg as well, I also use Rotella 5w-40 Synthetic oil in the winter. The old girl started well yesterday at -4 C and I have heat to warm my feet!! The front hubs are now locked for the season too.

    Ready for Winter.

I have a IIA 109 Diesel over here in Ontario and I spent the day yesterday getting it ready for the cooler days. First of all in went a lower rad hose heater, the closest size is 1.5 inch so I had to find a lower rad hose that was 1.5 inch the whole length and chop it up to fit. Second was to...

Getting the most out of a 2.25 diesel

I also love my 2.25 Diesel! It has character and is very reliable. I use Rotella 5w-40 Synthetic oil which helps a lot. The smoke from the exhaust helps kill the mosquitoes around here in the summer!! Though when I cross into the US (it is 10 minutes from home) they nearly always ask me if the...

    Series IIA Brake bleed fix.

Hi, after replacing my brake master cylinder and most of my brake lines I have had a hell of a time bleeding the front wheels. I bought a Gunson bleed kit while in the UK in March which helped but I still had air in the front lower cylinders. I had already drilled and tapped bleed screws into...

The real value of a bull-bar in traffic accidents?

Where I live when you drive at night it will help fend off the odd deer or coyote that tend to wander about at night. I don't think it will help with Moose though!! Retired Limey.

    Hi from Canada.

Hi everyone, Finally bought a Landy a few weeks ago. I think its 1970 vintage, a right hand drive diesel that came from the UK in 1999 and its a 109. Found this one 4 miles from my house up for sale and had to have it. It runs well and we took it on a 140 mile run to Watkins Glen State Park in...
