    Airbag warning light reset

Not really landy related... But my Peugeot Boxer has an airbag warning light on and an MOT on Monday. Fixed the airbag problem but my scan tool can't do airbag fault resets. Anyone local to Horsham got an appropriate tool and available tomorrow?

    Freelander 2 (LR2) FL2 PTU Oil Drain

Sorry for the slow reply, been a pretty crazy week. Thanks for the info, I'll try the pump and 5mm pipe fingers crossed i can get most of it out. 12V pump will be a little easier than syringe I reckon. With how tight it is under there it may be easier to pump the new oil back in too! Save me...

    Freelander 2 (LR2) FL2 PTU Oil Drain

So my FL2 is turning 10! WOOOO HBD!! This is good and bad, the good: load of life left in her. The bad: I now have a monster service to do. I've gotten a lot of it done including Diff Oil, Gearbox Oil/filter, Engine Oil, Timing Belt (including the water pump), Aux Belt/tensioner, Air filter...

    Performance restricted

I've had this a few times on mine. The EGR butterfly valve was sticking and the AA man ran a routine to un stick it... This essentially opens and closes the valve 10 times and clears the fault - rocket science!!! I went and got all my super secret tools from my work bag (this was when I still...

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 Snorkel - Found one!

After a particularly wet mountain biking trip to Exmoor this New Year and having had to ford a good many waist deep rivers it got my thinking that a raised air intake might be helpful just to avoid the precarious lapping of water at the intakes. Done a whole load of searches and I've seen loads...

Anyone able to help/show how to Freelander Clutch Change

Haha! in all the excitement I forgot about the whole test drive thing! I'd best go and do that now. EDIT: It works well! Although, the clutch engages VERY low, even after bleeding the clutch system (twice the volume of the reservoir passed through the slave) I wonder If I am just shocked...

Anyone able to help/show how to Freelander Clutch Change

Ok so it's all back together, other than the wheels... except for the fact that the engine won't turn over... Got all of the bolts torqued up right etc. all the output/input shafts went in alright... but still not going. Starter motor has a good connection made with an earth, and two thicker...

Anyone able to help/show how to Freelander Clutch Change

Finally got the gearbox out! I'm looking forward to getting the whole lot back in once I've swapped out all the rubbish in the bell housing. I'll try and write this up and get a few good pictures etc. to add to this knowledge base. Thanks for everyone's help!

Anyone able to help/show how to Freelander Clutch Change

Interesting, I'll have another go tomorrow... I have very little interest in taking the entire drive shaft out of the hub and all, but if it is the thing to do, I guess I'll have to. I was aiming for Digby's approach, but only dropping the IRD and gearbox, rather than engine and everything.

Anyone able to help/show how to Freelander Clutch Change

Right, then... So far so good.. except I am struggling to get the drive shaft out of the transfer box... I've read on here somewhere that a pair of flat head screw drivers is just the job. I'm just not sure where to apply them. 1) Do I insert the tips into the joint between the cv joint and...

Anyone able to help/show how to Freelander Clutch Change

Ok, I have ordered a new LR friction disc, release bearing and CSC, and a DMF. (all going cheap on fleabay) Hopefully it all goes well. I'm going to pop down to eurocarparts + fetch all the fluids/disposable parts + probably do my 12k Mile service whilst Im working on it. :( £££ :( In two...
