    Defender Thermostat Bypass Circuit?

Brilliant, that's what I was hoping for. Thanks James!

    Defender Thermostat Bypass Circuit?

It's a 200tdi engine. I'm fitting a slightly bigger heater matrix if I can make it fit which already has a flow valve that I was hoping to utilise. A bypass valve would do the job though... Thanks :)

    Defender Thermostat Bypass Circuit?

Evening guys. I'm looking at adding a bigger fan to my Defender's heater box and doing away with the hot cold flap thing, but this means that it will be blowing air through the hot matrix all the time. I'm therefore thinking of adding a flow control to the hot water inlet pipe so that I can shut...

Faulty temperature gauge Land Rover 90

OK, thanks. It starts off as normal, but shoots up to red once it gets up to working temp, so I assume it's not jammed just over reading the engine temperature without the glass cover on. I'll buy some new glass, hoover it out to remove any dust and see what happens unless there are any other...

Faulty temperature gauge Land Rover 90

The glass cover on my temperature gauge broke recently and ever since then the needle has been showing as red, even though she's running fine and dandy. Does the glass act in some way to create a vacuum for the needle to work? In other words, do I just replace the glass or do I need a new...

    Overheating 4.4 V8

Had a hose blow out on my 2006 L322 a few days ago. Changing the hose was the easy bit. Trying to get the cooling system to bleed properly has been a nightmare to the extent that it has left me stranded pulling my hair out twice thinking that the engine had blown up. From cold I added water...

    My 1988 Land Rover 90

Pictures are better for those of you that can't read... We did a few using the genuine Tdci dash but they're a pain, so we now make our own to fit any model from '83 onwards.

Yep, that's from when it used to be a Police 90 in Manchester and someone shot an air rifle pellet into the side of it just missing the bobby stood next to it. Can't take out those bits of history, they make great stories.

Driver's side and passenger side air intakes are Range Rover Sport. I also moved the indicated repeater underneath the intake as well and de-seemed the wings into a single piece. Puma Updates is my profile name because we do a Puma Dash conversion for the Defender, but I didn't say that just in...

    My 1988 Land Rover 90

Hardly the same thing is it? Mondeo and Sierra are completely different cars. The 90 and the Defender are exactly the same, just called different names when the Disco came out. So a more accurate analogy would be the Pajero / Montero / Shogun - All the same, just different badges. Pedantic.... ;)

    My 1988 Land Rover 90

Yes, but then it would be another Land Rover the same as everyone elses. I remember when I finished it and posted a few pics on my Facebook page, I was sent a number of messages from people who said that I should have discussed the build with enthusiasts who would have been happy to 'give me...

    My 1988 Land Rover 90

This started out as an ex-Police Land Rover 90 petrol before being used by an off-roader as a weekend toy, before being bought by a mechanic and converted to 200tdi, before being used as an off-roader as weekend toy (again) before being bought by me as a project 3 years ago... Comments welcome...
